The role of the Programming and Special Events Department is to research, plan, develop, implement and evaluate ongoing and special, social, cultural, educational and recreational activities, programs and events intended to benefit the Italian community and the community at large.

This is achieved through the following:

• Spring, Fall & Winter Program Guides, distributed to over 50,000 homes, featuring various classes and seminars in the areas of Language, Personal and Professional Development, Personal Interest, Culinary Demonstrations and Recreation and Creative Arts;

• Organization of the Centro’s largest fundraising event, the unique and highly acclaimed annual “Mamma Mia Auction”.
